Mats specializes in high-resolution digital capture of still life and documentation of art. Demonstrating his skill in lighting, perspective and purpose.

Mats got his career started by assisting several prominent fashion photographers. Learning and honing his craft, he moved up the assistant ladder to digital tech before taking the leap into becoming a full-time photographer.

Meticulously photographing objects in macro for Urs Fischer’s 2009 Mirror-box project launched Mats into the art world. The project, requiring thousands of images shot with utmost precision, was a perfect match for the combination of Mats love of art and background as a mechanical engineer.

In his spare time, Mats plays drums in his band K.O Limbo.
He lives in New York
